The stone element lets you shape and move stone, controlling distance and speed. With extra mana you can switch stone types, and using local materials lowers the cost. Extracting stone from large solid objects cancels this discount and costs even more than creating stone from thin air.
You may forgo physical stone and instead apply its impact as “empty force,” such as simulating the weight of a stone block equal to a person’s mass, doubling their gravity for the spell’s duration. This empty force costs +20% mana and can lock onto objects, while physical stone offers tangible interaction (rolling, pushing, etc.).
Created stone has a raw, ore-like structure and cannot form gems. Glass also requires extra mana because sand must be superheated to transform.
